This vibrating table is called unidirectional because a pair of motorvibrators located al a suitable distance of each other provide a regular unidirectional shaking movement lo the aggregates contained in the mix, which is the only method lo maintain the initial characteristics of compactness and homogeneity of the specimen. The high rigidity of the working surface guarantees the even distribution of the vibrations on the latter, so that the result of the compaction is independent from its position. The clamping system of the moulds on the vibrating surface is highly practical and safe. Some locking devices sliding along the slots make il possible lo fix either a fourgang mould or various twogang moulds or single moulds. The apparatus can hold a maximum of one 20 cm fourgang cube mould.

Used for the determination of the air content in concrete. This instrument directly supplies the rate of air contained in the form of bubbles in a pasty mass. The mix is subjected to a pressure that is twice that of the atmosphere, so that the volume of concrete which is uncompressible remains unchanged, while the volume of air is reduced to the half. The instrument is made from light alloy and it is supplied calibrated, complete with tamping rod and hand pump.
